Is Generational Equity Really a Scam?

Generational equity is how we allocate our resources throughout the different types of generations in our society. The example pertaining to the United States would be social security. In theory, much like many other things, social security was a great idea, the young will take care of the old. But the problem with that is that this only works if the growth of a population is continuous and proportional. If people’s behavioral tendencies change (such as people deciding to have less children) then the difference between providers and receivers is offset, and that’s the problem that we are having in the United States. As the growth of the population decelerates, and the growth of the retirees increases, how are is the current working generation to pay for it all?
